About Us
Klemzig is a community that is committed to working together in a caring, supportive environment where every student can achieve their potential.
The primary school and the Centre for Hearing Impaired are totally integrated to provide a bilingual/bicultural program where Deaf/hearing
impaired and hearing students learn in Auslan (Australian Sign Language) and English. Our Auslan Early Learning Program provides a preschool program for Deaf
and hearing impaired children as well as children with Deaf
parents or siblings. We have a rich and diverse student population with more than half coming from outside the immediate area.
Students are engaged in a range of co-curricular programs including competitive sport, signing and singing choirs, chess, model solar boat competition and the children's garden. We are currently upgrading and expanding our facilities to cater for our growing enrolments. The school provides before and after-school care and vacation care. We also have a school canteen and uniform shop.
