Auslan (Australian Sign Language) is a valued language at Klemzig School. For our Deaf and Hard of Hearing families and CODAs (Children of Deaf Adults), Auslan is a first language and used for everyday communication.

The 'Language Other Than English’ (LOTE) Curriculum area for all students across the Campus is Auslan. We aim to develop skills in Auslan for all students. 

 

Parents and families within the Klemzig School community can access Auslan classes at the school when available. 

 

Auslan Interpreters are available for meetings and school community events such as assemblies.
